Publishing Transactions in Jack
What are the different ways I can publish a transaction to the Accounting Platform?
When publishing a transaction to your connected Accounting Platform through Jack, there are 3 different methods that can be used.
- Publishing one transaction at a time
- Bulk Publishing multiple transactions at a time
- Manually marking a transaction as published
Let's unpack each of these in more detail:
Publishing one transaction at a time
Step 1
Finish reviewing your transaction details to ensure everything is completed and accurate
Step 2
Click the Publish button
Step 3
The transaction will very quickly be sent to the publishing queue, the next document on the list will be displayed
Step 4
When the transaction has finished publishing, there'll be a notification indicating the outcome. These notifications will be clickable and lead straight to the transaction
Step 5
Any unsuccessful attempts will appear in the Reviewing List and the reason will be displayed for following up

Manually Marked as Published
Sometimes it's not necessary to publish the transaction to the Accounting Platform or the transaction is already there, but hadn't appeared in Jack yet. Whatever the reason, following these steps will allow the transaction to be 'published' without having to actually publish.
Step 1
Click the 3 dots next to the publish button and select Manually Mark as Published
Step 2
The status will change to Published and join the Published list
Step 3
The transaction history will be updated accordingly.
